Make 12V Battery Level Indicator

    A Battery level indicator is a circuit that provides the visual indication level of charge present in the battery. In simpler terms, it will determine the level of charge remaining in the battery.

    In this article, you will learn to build a 12 Volt Battery level indicator in a simple way with less effort.

    Components Required

    • 7x Red LEDs, Each of Yellow, Green & Blue led.
    • Each of 4.7k, 56k & 18k Resistor.
    • 10k Multi-Turn Potentiometer.
    • LM3914 Analog Display IC.
    • 2pin header connector.
    • 2pin terminal connector.

    Circuit Explanation and Working

    Battery level indicator circuit 12 volt

    This 12V Battery Level Indicator Circuit Contains LM3914 IC which is a dot/bar display driver. LM3914 IC senses the voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs. We can enable bar mode or dot mode by at PIN 9 of LM3914 IC.
